3 Rooms, 3 DJs, Wednesday night. It’s finally time for the third official Nocturne Reunion event. Please *read the FAQ* that is the pinned post on this event page; it will always have the most up-to-date information.
Going to Shampoo on Wednesday nights for Nocturne was, for many of us, the high point of our week. We had friends, great music, camaraderie, and a safe place to call home. People came from NYC, DC, Lancaster and all points in between. Since Nocturne ended many years ago, our tribe has been scattered. But now it’s time to come home.
We’ll be at Underground Arts, which serves food! We’ve had several Dracula’s Ball events there, so many of you have seen the main room and the Black Box room. There’s also a secret “third room” you haven’t seen (unless you were at the 2023 Reunion), and UA is making it available to us for this event. Original Nocturne DJs Kathy Fadigan and Jon Gill each have their own rooms, as will Mike Saga, who did a great job with the Front Room during our last two reunions.
Tickets are $19. There is a special presale for subscribers to the Dancing Ferret Concerts email list; that begins at noon on Friday the 10th (with presale code). The code can be used in person or online. If any tickets remain, they will go on sale to the public on Monday the 13th at 3:30pm. Buying in person at Underground Arts can save you big on service fees, especially since we will be putting another show (possibly *two* shows!) on sale at exactly the same time. Details forthcoming on that. Box office hours are Friday the 10th, 12pm-10pm and Saturday the 11th, 6:30pm-10:30pm.
The date is July 3rd – no school or work the next day! We’re open from 9pm-2am. Given the configuration of the space and the fact that everyone who went to Nocturne is over 21 at this point, the event has to be 21+ only. We would love to do an all-ages Nocturne reunion in the future but it’s not in the cards this year.
As you get psyched up for the event, we recommend you check out the latest Asleep By Dawn compilation (Volume 4) which includes quite a few Nocturne anthems. There is a link in the pinned FAQ post.
It’s time to see people you haven’t seen in ages, to catch up on old friendships, maybe even make some new ones. It’s time to relive that magic from back in the day. It’s time to dance to all your favorite songs, all night. It’s time to feel that sense of belonging and safety. It’s been far too long and we’re very much looking forward to seeing all of you.
